Daily maintenance methods for all-terrain agricultural vehicles
Feb 28,2025
The daily maintenance methods for all-terrain agricultural vehicles mainly include the following aspects:
Pre-departure inspection:
Check the "seven sufficient", namely water, fuel, lubricating oil, battery fluid, brake fluid, tire pressure, and hydraulic oil to meet the standards, and check for any oil, water, and air leaks in each part.
Check whether all connecting parts are secure, and whether the bolts and nuts of each part are loose or missing.
Check the working condition of lights, instruments, wipers, horn, clutch, brakes, parking brake, and steering system.
Check whether the cab door, windows, and cargo compartment panels are secure and reliable.
Check whether various licenses and tools, accessories carried with the vehicle are complete.
Check whether the loading of materials or the seating of personnel complies with regulations.
Check the operation of the engine and chassis and whether the sounds are normal.
On-the-road inspection:
During driving, pay attention to the working status of various instruments, engine, and chassis components.
When parked, check whether the temperature of the wheel hub, brake drum, transmission, and rear axle is normal.
Check for any leakage of engine oil and coolant.
Check the condition and fastening of the drive shaft, tires, leaf springs, steering, and braking devices.
Check the condition of the loaded items.
Post-parking maintenance:
Clean the agricultural vehicle, keeping the exterior and interior clean.
Check the tightness of the fan drive belt.
Drain the coolant in winter.
Disconnect the power supply.
Troubleshoot.
Daily maintenance and upkeep of mechanical components:
Tightening: Regularly check the fastening bolts and nuts that bear dynamic loads and are prone to accidents, such as the fixed bolts of the cylinder head, connecting rod bearings, flywheel, etc.; hub fixing bolts and nuts; drive shaft cross bolts and nuts; and the fixing nuts of the leaf spring screws, and tighten them promptly if loosened.
Lubrication: There are many parts of the agricultural vehicle that require lubrication, including bearing lubrication and component lubrication. Depending on the type of lubricating oil used, it can be divided into grease, engine oil, and gear oil. During vehicle use, regularly check each part, add lubricating oil in a timely manner, and prevent damage to components due to lack of oil causing dry friction.
Adjustment: This includes adjusting the free travel of the clutch, adjusting the braking system, adjusting the engine ignition timing, and adjusting the valve clearance, etc. Adjustments should be made strictly according to the manufacturer's specifications based on the technical requirements of different vehicle models.
Cleaning: After each job, the exterior of the vehicle should be washed, and the dirt inside the cab should be swept away to maintain a good appearance; internal cleaning mainly involves wiping off oil stains from the engine surface. When cleaning, care should be taken to use appropriate cleaning agents and correct cleaning methods to prevent corrosion and damage.
Replacement: If any component is found to be damaged during daily maintenance, such as a blown fuse, stripped screws, damaged gaskets, or aging and cracking of sealing rings, it must be replaced and cannot be used forcefully.

Xiaoman—when all things reach this point, they are just beginning to feel a modest fullness, not yet at their peak, yet already brimming with promise. As the breeze sweeps across the fields, waves of wheat ripple with a green, tender edge; rice ears hang low, bearing quiet, unspoken hopes. Distant mountains wear a soft haze, and the field paths wind and twist; every inch of earth is ripening for a surprise of abundance, and every breath of wind carries with it the hope that lingers in the smoke of daily life.
